Step 2
Lubricate the inside diameter of the drive shaft seal.
Install the drive shaft seal bushing in the drive shaft
seal.

Note: The drive shaft bushing must be positioned in
the center of the drive shaft seal.
Step 3
Slide the seal and bushing over the shaft and groove
until it snaps into place. Fill the inside portion of the
seal with more lubricant and evenly lubricate the end
of the seal that fits onto the rear shell bearing.

Step 4
Insert the beater drive shaft into the f reezing
cylinder, hex end first, and into the rear shell bearing
until the seal fits securely over the rear shell bearing.
Be certain the drive shaft fits into the driv e coupling
without binding.
IMPORTANT: Remove any excess lubrican t from
the seal.

Step 5
Before installing the beater assembly, check the
scraper blades for any nicks or signs of wear. If any
nicks are present or if the blade is worn, replace
both blades. If the blades are in good condition,
place the scraper blades over the holding pins on
the beater.
Note: Each hole on the scraper blade must fit
securely over each pin.
