Use Recording
Getting prepared
1Load a tape and position it to the desired section using the REV., FWD, STOP, PLAY.
2You may call up the information on the television screen by pressing the INFOkey.
3a Choose a programme with the PR+/- key or 0to 9keys.
For 2-digit channels, first press
0/--
(0, 1, 2 or PR 12).
3b Or make use of PR+/- or AV to select the AV socket of the external set connected.
If you want to record a DVD disc, select DVD.
NB!
When you record a DVD onto a video cassette, do not display a DVD menu (such
as the
info
menu for example) since this menu would automatically be recorded on
the cartridge superimposed on the content of the DVD. Likewise, if you use the zoom
function of the DVD drive during recording, the video recorder would record the
images as they appear on the screen, that is to say magnified.
4Select standard play (SP) or long play (LP) with the SP/LP key.
LP doubles the length of your tape (240 minutes in SP become 480 minutes, i.e. 8
hours in LP).
Simple recording
Press the REC key.
๎€‚The video recorder starts recording.
Interrupt recording using the
PAUSE
key; resume recording using the
PLAY
key or
end it using the
STOP
key.
Recording with automatic stop (instant record)
1Press the REC key twice.
๎€‚The video recorder starts recording for a 30-minute period.
The programmed period appears on the VCR front display and can be seen on your TV
screen.
2Press the REC key again to increase the recording time by another 30-minute
period: press once for 30 minutes, press twice for 60 minutes, and so onโ€ฆ
3Press the EXIT key to clear the information screen.
Continuous recording
This function, used in combination with the LP feature, provides you with a recording of
8 hours when using an E240 tape.
Press REC and then PLAY for 5 seconds.
