Once the locking pin (C) has gone down, continue to turn the open/close knob on the lid
Steam escapes from this outlet for a few seconds. Do not put your hand over the outlet.
The food and the liquid must never exceed the maximum filling mark loca- ted on the inside of your Wikook - fig. 3 .
First use
Filling (fig. 2 and 3)
When filling, make sure you pour the ingredients into the centre of the pan without getting the handles wet - fig. 2.
Minimum filling
Always use a minimum amount of liquid which is equal to one glass of water (250 ml).
Maximum filling
For food that expands during cooking, such as rice, dehydrated vegeta- bles and compotes, etc. do not fill your Wikook more than half full in relation to the maximum level indicator.
Before using your Wikook for the first time, wash and lightly coat the entire internal coating with vegetable oil.
Fill with water up to the maximum filling line located inside the pan -

Close your Wikook: See the paragraph entitled: “Closing“.
Place your Wikook on a heat source which is at its highest setting, with the knob position indicator (D) facing towards you.
Once the steam starts to escape, lower the heat and leave for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, turn off the heat.

The steam outlet (B) must never face towards you or anybody else.
You can only open it when the locking pin has gone down.
Beware of the jet of steam: it is hot.
Do not cool your Wikook under running water.
Open your Wikook: See the paragraph entitled: “Opening”. Rinse your
Wikook under running water and dry it.
Before cooking
Check that the operating and safety valves are mobile.
To do this:
• Use your finger to push the valves located inside the lid - fig. 7.
Add food and liquid, taking care not to exceed the minimum and maxi- mum filling levels. See the paragraph entitled: “Filling”.
Close your Wikook.
