Operating Basics
To help you use the High VoltageDifferenti al Probe safely and
effectively, this section provides important information about safety
limits, operatingcharacteristics, and probing techniques.

high-voltage measurements, the product is intended for use by
qualified personnelwho hav e had the training to make these types of
measurements. Read and follow the precautionsspecified in this
manual.
Before youmake any oscilloscope measurement, observeall safety
precautionsdescribed in the user and service manuals for the
equipment you are working on. Some general rules about using and
servicingelectrical equipment are worth repeating here.

Operating the Probe Safely
