Specifications
The specifications in Tables 2 through 6 apply to a P5205 probe
installed on a Tektronix TDS 460A oscilloscope. When theprobe is
used withanother oscilloscope, the oscilloscope must followthese
specifications:
HAn input impedance of 1 MΩ
HAn input capacitance range of between 15 and 20 pF
HA bandwidth greater than 400 MHz
The probe must have a warm-up period of at least 20 mi nutes and be
in an environmentthat does not exceed the limits described in
Table 2.
Specifications for the P5205 probe fall into three c ategories:
warranted,typical, and nominal characteristics.
WARNING. Special fixturesare requiredto examine specifications at
the maximumfrequency and voltage levels andshould be c onducted
only by qualifiedService Personnel. See the Service sec tion for more
detail.

Warranted Characteristics

Warrantedcharacteristics in Tables 2 and 3 describeguaranteed
performancewithin tolerance limits or certain type-tested require-
ments. Warrantedcharacteristics that have checks in the Perfor-
mance Verification section appearin bo ldface type.
