Periodically, the TiVo® Digital Video Recorder dials in to the TiVo®
service via your telephone line. If you pick up your telephone during the
time information is being transferred, you will hear static noise. If you
would like to use your telephone while the information is being transferred,
you can hang up, wait about 45 seconds, and pick up your telephone again.
The TiVo Digital Video Recorder will disconnect, and allow you to place
your call. You can also interrupt the transfer at any time by temporarily
unplugging the phone line from the Digital Recorder. If the transfer is
interrupted, it will resume at a later time.
