When you do this, you are no
longer watching the live pro-
gramme,instead you are watch-
inga delayed presentation of it.
This is called time shifted tele-
vision. Then, you can skip com-
mercialsuntil you catch up to the
livebroadcast.
In order to use the time shift
feature,the Time Shifting option
mustbe set to Enable. See
§
3.6.
When enabled, the digital receiverwill keep as much as one
hourrecording buffer of current service by utilizing the hard
diskdrive storage. Thebuffer will reset each time you change
toanother service.
Withtime shift enabled, the following operations are possible:
•
Togo back in time, hold down the button;to go for-
ward, hold down the button. The progress bar is
displayedmomentarily with a preview window.
• You can navigate using the progress bar, refer to § 7.3.1.

Youcan jump forward 30 seconds at a time by pressing
the
F3 button.
•
Youcan jump backward 20 seconds at a time by pressing
the
F4 button.
•
Youcan change playback speed. For slow motion see
§7.3.2. For fast motion see § 7.3.3.
•
Tocheck your current position in time shift, press the
button. The time difference compared to live pro-
grammeis displayed momentarily in top right corner of
screen. A value of
−
02:00 means two minutes behind
liveprogramme.
