Introduction

The TF600 PVRt digital receiver is fully compliant with the

internationalDigital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard, and

thusis able to receive digital broadcasts of that standard. For

its operation you need an antenna, which must be installed

appropriately.

NOTE

Ingeneral we equate a channel with a frequency. Unlike ana-

logue broadcasts, however,digital broadcasts are not all as-

signed to their own frequencies; instead, multiple television

broadcastsare transmitted through a single frequency. The fre-

quencyin digital broadcasting is usually called transponder. To

reduceconfusion in this manual, the word

service

ispreferably

usedthan

channel

asa term to indicate one television or radio

broadcast.
