Starting the Media Center

18Use the numeric keys on your keyboard to enter your ZIP code, then click Next. The wizard displays the Download Provider Information screen.

The Media Center connects to the internet and begins to download information about your local TV provider.

The screen displays a message when the download is complete.19Click Next. The wizard displays the Select TV Signal Provider screen.

20Select your TV signal provider from the list. If you have digital (typically used with a Set-Top converter box) select Digital. Otherwise, select the basic option.

21Click Next. The wizard displays the Download TV Program Guide Information screen and begins to download TV guide information from your TV signal provider.

22Click Next when the download is complete. The wizard displays the Optional Setup screen.

23Select Optimize how Media Center looks on your display, then click Next. The wizard displays the Display Configuration screen.

24Click Next. The system displays the Identify Your Display Type screen.

25Select Traditional TV/Monitor, and click Next. The wizard displays the Connection Type screen.

26Select Composite or S-Video(whichever one you are using), and then click Next. The wizard displays the Optimize Media Center for Your Display screen.

NOTE

The Composite and S-video ports cannot be used at the same

 

time.
