Drive components and control buttons

The DVD-ROM or multi-function drive is located on the front of the computer. The Media control buttons are located above the keyboard and can be accessed when the display panel is open.

Media control buttons

The control buttons above the computer keyboard let you play audio CDs when the computer is on. You can also use them to play CDs and DVDs when the computer is off using the QosmioPlayer application. For more information on playing CDs and DVDs when the computer is powered off, see “Using QosmioPlayer” on page 149.

The TV button:

❖Launches Windows Media Center and activates the TV interface, when the computer is powered on and Windows is running. For more information, see “Watching Television Programs” on page 181.
