Speed Dial
Creating a speed dial
You can create a speed dial for a phone number that is stored in Contacts.
To create a speed dial:
1.From the Home Screen, select Start > Contacts.
2.Select the required contact.
3.Scroll to the required phone number, then select Menu > Add to Speed Dial.
4.In Keypad assignment: field, select the speed dial number.
5.Press Done.
n NOTE: The digit 0 is reserved for inserting the + character when dialling an international phone number. The digit 1 is reserved for calling your voice mail mailbox as a speed dial.
Setting up voice mail speed dial
The voice mail speed dial is normally preconfigured. If it is not preconfigured, you can save your voice mail number to the phone manually. To do this:
1.From the Home Screen, select Start > More > Settings.
2.Select Phone > Call Options.
3.Enter your voice mail number in the Voice mail number: field. This can be obtained from your service provider.
Making a call using Speed Dial
To make a call using Speed Dial:
From the Home Screen, press and hold the speed dial number you want to call. If the speed dial number has two digits, press the first digit, then press and hold the second digit.
