Using Call WaitingCall Waiting, a servic e available from you r telephone provider, lets you rec eive
calls while you are on anot her call. Ca ller ID on Call Waiti ng (CIDCW) serv ice
displays Caller ID infor mation for a waiting c all.
If you get a Call Waiting cal l, the phone sounds a tone and d isplays any CID
information received from th e waiting cal l. Press
Home/FlasH
on the land line or
cell
on a cellular phone call to sw itch between the c urrent call an d the waiting
call; each time you switc h, there is a short pause b efore you're connected to the
other call.
Using an Optional HeadsetYou can use a standard 2.5 mm telep hone
headset with your cordles s handsets. To purchase he adsets, contact t he Parts
Department (see the front cover).
To install a headset, remove the hea dset jack cover and in sert the headse t plug
into the jack.
Just make and receive call s as usual, and us e your
headset to talk to the ca ller after the c all connect s.
When you connect a headset, the h andset
automatically mutes the ear piece. To re-activate t he
earpiece, just unplug the he adset.
Using the PhonebooksYou can download the phonebook (up to 1500 entrie s)
from each paired cellula r phone (up to four). You
can also store up to 200 entri es in the D3280’s Home
phonebook, which is separate f rom any downloaded phoneb ooks.
Only one cordless handset ca n access the phonebo ok at a time.
Downloading cellular phonebooks into your phone
Make sure your cellular phon e is paired to the D3280 a nd is within ra nge of the
base.
With the D3280 in standby, open the menu a nd select
Bluetooth
.
Select the cellular phone you w ant to download from, t hen select
Download PB
.
When downloading is complete, t he cordless hand set displays a conf irmation
screen. To cancel downloading , press
eNd
.
Each time you download a phonebook , the D3280 overwrit es any previous copy
of that phonebook. The D3280 automatic ally cancels t he download if it rec eives
an incoming call or someone t ries to make an outg oing call.
If the download is interrupt ed or canceled, th e D3280 reverts to the or iginal copy
of the downloaded phonebook.
If you delete the pairing in formation for a cellul ar phone, the downlo aded
phonebook from that phone will a lso be deleted.
