Accessing a Line Using the Line Key

Press Line 1 or Line 2 to access the appropriate line. When the line key is pressed, the LED on the line key turns on indicating the selected line is in use. If the handset is used, the user hears a dial tone through the handset. If the handset is in the cradle and the telephone was originally on-hook, pressing the line key causes the telephone to go off-hook and turns on the handsfree feature. The user hears dial tone through the telephone speaker.
