Originating Calls

Users can make calls using a handset or the handsfree feature. (Refer to “Handsfree” on page 28 for a detailed discussion of handsfree operation.)

Using the Handset

To originate a call using the handset:

1.Pick up the handset (the telephone is off-hook).

2.Dial the telephone number (or extension number), or the IP address of the called party.

Using the Phone Book

To originate a call using the phone book:

1.Press ▼ to access the phone book. (Refer to “Phone Book” on page 28 for instructions for adding, editing, or deleting Phone Book entries.)

2.Once the phone book is displayed, use either the ▲ or ▼ to navigate through the entries.

3.Once the desired entry is displayed in the LCD, press Select to initiate the call.

To cancel out of the phone book, press Cancel/Del.
