3-2 LAN Configuration

The VPN firewall will deliver the following parameters to any LAN device that requests DHCP:
An IP Address from the range you have defined.
Subnet Mask.
Gateway IP Address (the VPN firewall’s LAN IP address).
Primary DNS Server (the VPN firewall’s LAN IP address or a user-specified DNS server IP
address in the LAN Setup menu).
Secondary DNS Server (if you entered a secondary DNS server IP address in the LAN Setup
menu).
WINS Server (if you entered a WINS server IP address in the LAN Setup menu).
Lease Time (date obtained and duration of lease).
Configuring the LAN Setup Options
The LAN Setup menu allows configuration of LAN IP services such as DHCP and allows you to
configure a secondary or “multi-home” LAN IP setup in the LAN. The default values are suitable
for most users and situations. These are advanced settings usually configured by a network
administrator.
To modify your LAN setup, follow these steps:
1. Select Network Configuration > LAN Settings from the main menu. The LAN Setup screen
