Adjusting the Menu Display Language and Time/Date
When using the camera for the first time, set the menu display language and time/date. The setting range is between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2099.
The menu language, time and date are maintained by the backup condenser. The setting contents are therefore retained even when replacing the AA batteries.
Back up time during replacement is about 15 minutes.
1.Make sure that batteries, or AC adapter have been installed/connected.
2.Set the dial knob to any of the four camera modes:( ). The LCD monitor will turn on and the Language Setting screen will appear.
3.Press or button to select the desired language.
4.Press or button to select the SET CLOCK setting and press ENTER button.
5.Press or button to adjust the number to the current Year, Month, Day & Time. Press or
button to move the next/previous data field.
6.When you are done changing the date and time settings, press Menu button to exit from the menu screen.
Formatting the Compact Flash Card
In most cases, you can directly use a newly purchased CF (Compact Flash) memory card to store pictures. But to avoid any possible problems, it is recommended that a new CF card be formatted first before using it.
Here is how to format a CF card:
1.Turn the dial Knob to Playback mode ( ).
2.Press Menu button to display the menu screen on LCD monitor.
3.The File Menu then appears. (If the File Menu is not displayed, keep pressing or button until you see the File Menu.)
4.Keep pressing button to select FORMAT option. 5.Press ENTER button at the back of the camera.
6.A confirmation message is then displayed. Press or button to select Yes. Then, press ENTER button again to format the CF card.
WARNING:
If the CF card contains pictures, all files, including protected picture files, will be deleted when the CF card is formatted. The deleted files cannot be recovered.
