Application

This section explains how to configure the Network Camera to react in response to particular situations. A typical application is that when a motion is detected, the Network Camera sends buffered images to a FTP server or via e-mail as notifications.

In the illustration on the right side, an event

can be triggered by many sources, such as motion detection or external digital

input devices. When an event is triggered, you can specify what kind of action will be performed. You can configure the Network

Camera to send snapshots or videos to your email address or FTP site.

Event Trigger

ex. Motion detection, Periodically, Digital input, System reboot

MediaServer

ex. Email, FTP

To start plotting an event, it is suggested to configure server and media columns first so that the

Network Camera will know what action shall be performed when a trigger is activated.

Media Settings

In Media Settings column, click Add to open the media setting page. On this page, you can specify what kind of media to send when a trigger is activated. A total of five media settings can be configured.
