An essential step for lubrication is cleaning the compo- nents before lubricating them.
This step is critical because dust and chips build up on lubricated components, which makes them hard to move. Simply adding more grease to
Clean the components in this section with an oil/grease solvent cleaner.
The following are the main components that need to be lubricated:
•Trunnion Slides and Orientation Gears
•Worm Gears, Trunnion and Bearing Housing Teeth

Clean the trunnion slides with mineral spirits and a rag, and brush a dab of lithium grease into each groove. Move the blade tilt back and forth to spread the grease (see =`^li\0').
Also use a wire brush and mineral spirits to clean any debris or grime off the orientation gears, then apply lithium grease to the gears with a brush.

Clean away any built up grime and debris with a wire brush and mineral spirits from the worm gears and the teeth (see =@^li\91) on the bearing housing and trunnion. Then use a brush or rag to apply a thin coat of white lithium grease to the gears and teeth.
