| To clean the fuel tank | |

| 1) | Empty the fuel tank into an approved |
|
|
|
| gasoline (petrol) container. |
|
|
| 2) | Pour a small amount of suitable sol- |
|
|
|
| vent in the tank. Reinstall the cap and |
|
|
|
| shake the tank. Drain the solvent |
|
|
|
| completely. |
|
|
| To clean the fuel filter | |
|
| 902054 | 1) | Remove the screws holding the fuel |
|
|
|
| hose joint assembly . Pull the assem- |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| bly out of the tank. |
|
|
| 2) | Clean the filter (located on the end of |
|
|
|
| the suction pipe) in a suitable clean- |
|
|
|
| ing solvent. Allow the filter to dry. |
|
|
| 3) | Replace the gasket with a new one. |
|
|
|
| Reinstall the fuel hose joint assembly |
|
|
|
| and tighten the screws firmly. |

| ANODE | |
| Yamaha outboard motor is protected | |
| from corrosion by a sacrificial anode(s). | |
| Check the anode periodically. Remove the | |
| scales from surfaces of the anode. | |
405011 | For the replacement of the anode, consult | |
a Yamaha dealer. | ||
