Backup and Initialization

Backup

Some internal DGX-205/203 and PSR-295/293 parameters will revert to their default values if not saved before the power is turned off. In order to backup these parameters press and hold the [FUNCTION] button for longer than a sec- ond.

Hold for longer than a second

The Backup Parameters

• User songs.

• Touch response on/off.

• Registration memory.

• The following FUNCTION settings:

Tuning, Split Point, Touch Sensitivity, Style Volume, Song Volume, Metronome Volume, Grade, Demo Cancel, Panel Sustain.

Initialization

This function erases all backup data in the instrument’s flash memory and restores the initial default settings. The fol- lowing initialization procedures are provided.

To clear data backed up to the internal flash memory – panel user setting, registration memory (page 60), user songs (page 39) – turn the power on by pressing the [STANDBY/ON] switch while holding the highest white key on the keyboard. The backed up data will be erased and the default values restored.

To clear song data that has been transferred to the internal flash memory from a com- puter, turn the power on by pressing the [STANDBY/ON] switch while simulta- neously holding the highest white key on the keyboard and the three highest black keys.

CAUTION

When you execute the Flash Clear operation, song data you have purchased will also be cleared. Be sure to save data you want to keep to a computer.
