LAN

9.1 Overview

This chapter describes how to configure LAN settings.

A Local Area Network (LAN) is a shared communication system to which many

computers are attached. A LAN is a computer network limited to the immediate

area, usually the same building or floor of a building. The LAN screens can help

you configure a LAN DHCP server, manage IP addresses, and partition your

physical network into logical networks.

The LAN screens can help you configure a LAN DHCP server and manage IP

addresses.

Use the IP (Section 9.3 on page 117) screen to change your basic LAN settings.

None of the LEDs turn on. 24.3 NBG4115 Access and Login I dont know the IP address of my NBG4115. I forgot the password. I cannot see or access the Login screen in the Web Configurator. I can see the Login screen, but I cannot log in to the NBG4115. 24.4 Internet Access I cannot access the Internet. The Internet connection is slow or intermittent. 24.5 Resetting the NBG4115 to Its Factory Defaults You will lose all of your changes when you push the RESET button. 24.6 Wireless Router/AP Troubleshooting I cannot access the NBG4115 or ping any computer from the WLAN (wireless AP or router). I set up URL keyword blocking, but I can still access a website that should be blocked. I can access the Internet, but I cannot open my network folders. I can access the Web Configurator after I switched to AP mode.
