NOTE: ALL AIR INTAKES AND EXHAUST OUTLETS MUST BE KEPT CLEAR OF ANY OBSTRUCTIONS. ALL OPEN AREA IS REQUIRED FOR COOLING.

6.3.2 TESTING THE INSTALLATION

Generac recommends testing the installation to be sure adequate cooling airflow is available to the unit before placing the unit into service. If the unit shows signs of overheating, you will need to enlarge the air openings. Never place a unit into service until absolutely certain that cooling and ventilation is ade- quate.

NOTE:

You must test the installation, especially if you bring in air from below the generator set.

6.4GASOLINE FUEL SYSTEM

DANGER

Gasoline is highly flammable, and its vapors are explosive. Comply with all codes, standards and regulations pertaining to gasoline fuel systems used in recreational vehicle generators.

Properly install and maintain the fuel system and keep it entirely free of leaks. Gasoline vapors must not enter the vehicle interior.

26 Generac® Power Systems, Inc.

The installation of a gasoline fuel system (Figure 6.14) for a recreational vehicle generator set must comply with applicable codes, standards and regula- tions. The entire fuel system must be completely free of leaks. There must be no possibility of gasoline vapors entering the vehicle interior.

Generac has established itself as a leader in the power generation industry, particularly noted for its wide range of generators designed to provide reliable backup power. Among its various models, the Generac series consisting of the 004702-0, 004703-0, 004704-0, 004705-0, 004706-0, and 004707-0 stands out due to their dependable performance and innovative features. Each model in this series is engineered for both residential and light commercial applications, offering peace of mind during power outages.

One of the main features of these models is their state-of-the-art engine technology. Equipped with a Generac engine, these generators are designed to provide efficient, powerful performance. The engines are robust and designed to withstand extended use, ensuring that users can rely on them when needed most.

A standout feature is their Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) capability. When the power goes out, these generators automatically switch on, providing uninterrupted power to essential appliances and systems in the home. This seamless transition is vital for maintaining safety and comfort during outages, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Fuel efficiency is another area where these models excel. They utilize either natural gas or propane, offering flexibility in fuel choice depending on availability and preference. Their engineering is optimized for minimal fuel consumption while maximizing output, making them a cost-effective solution for power needs.

Furthermore, these models incorporate advanced monitoring and control systems. Users can conveniently monitor generator performance and status through an intuitive mobile app or control panel. This technology allows users to receive alerts and updates, ensuring they are always informed about the power situation at their location.

Noise reduction technology is also a key characteristic of this series. Generac's engineers have focused on minimizing sound output, providing a quieter operation compared to many other generators in the market. This feature is particularly beneficial for residential areas where noise can be a significant concern.

Overall, the Generac 004702-0, 004703-0, 004704-0, 004705-0, 004706-0, and 004707-0 models exemplify reliability, efficiency, and advanced engineering. Their comprehensive features and user-friendly technology make them an excellent choice for anyone seeking a dependable backup power solution.
