Removing the Floppy Disk Drive

Removing the Floppy Disk Drive

To remove the FDD, first remove the Top Cover (see Removing the Top Cover), then perform the following steps:

1.Remove the screw retaining the FDD and disconnect the FDD flat cable connector as shown in Fig. 37.

2. Carefully remove the floppy disk drive as shown in Fig. 38

Note: Be aware that there is a Mylar sticker on top of the FDD and bottom cover. Make sure that it proper sticks when assembling.
