Distributed Installation

The Distributed Installation procedures are for system administrators who would like to set up standardized configuration files for users to install their printer drivers. Using the Xerox Printer Configuration Utility, you can customize the driver installation process to meet your organization’s needs:

„Use the Preconfigured File—Xerox provides a preconfigured file with the Configuration Utility that contains standardized settings for all the drivers of each supported printer model.

„Customize Driver Settings—Using the Configuration Utility, you can specify your own default settings for each driver.

„Manage Different User Groups—By creating and saving different configuration files, you can consistently manage driver distribution to different user groups.

The Distributed Installation procedure has four components to it:

1Copying files to the network

2Configuring installation files

3Distributing installation files

4Installing printer drivers on a PC
