Installation

Positive Ground or PV Ground Fault Protection Installations

When using the ICA in inverter installations that have DC ground fault protection (PVGFP-CF) or where the inverter is connected in a “positive ground” configuration, an opto- isolator must be connected somewhere between the ICA and the computer com port. Opto-isolators can be obtained through www.blackbox.com (part SP400A-R3 and PS576 - 9 Vdc power supply).

CAUTION: Equipment Damage

Damage to the inverter and ICA can occur if an opto-isolator is not used in a “positive ground” configuration or in installations that have DC ground fault protection.
