Three Phase Operation

Overview

XDI inverters can be configured for 3-phase operation where necessary. Synchronizing signals are used to achieve this functionality, precisely phase locking the units at 120 phase displacement. For single units this results in a 6kVA 3-phase source but up to 2 more units can be added to each phase to increase capacity. (See “Parallel Operation” on page 2–15 for wiring details.) The units can be configured for 3-phase, 4-wire or 3- phase,3-wire depending on the load setup.
