Mounting

The user must determine the fitness of hardware and procedures before mounting. If hardware and procedures are not suitable for your application, contact the manufacturer of your rack or rack enclosure. The procedures described in this manual are for common rack and rack enclosure types and may not be appropriate for all applications.

Parallel configuration supports the mounting of two SU6000RT4UHVPM power/battery modules

for fault-tolerant redundancy that supports loads up to 6kVA, or, for increased capacity, up to

12kVA. For all 6kVA UPS system mounting instructions, please refer to that product’s Owner’s

Manual. In order to configure your UPS for redundancy, you will also need to obtain two SU6000RT4UHVPM power/battery modules with this parallel kit.

1It is important to note that in order to accommodate paralleling applications, the UPS systems must be mounted in the following order (see diagram 1): 6kVA UPS system 1 and 6kVA UPS system 2. Note: Each 6kVA UPS system must be installed in separate rack rails before attaching the rear parallel power distribution units.

2Referring to the above step and the mounting instructions of the 6kVA UPS systems, mount the two UPS systems into the 4-post rack. Once the UPS systems have been mounted in the correct configuration (see Step 1), simply attach the primary PDU module to UPS system

1 and the secondary PDU module to UPS system 2 using the provided mounting screws as shown.

1External Battery Connector: Use this to connect one or more Tripp Lite battery modules to the power module. Remove the cover for access. Refer to the battery module Owner’s Manual for connection instructions and safety warnings.

2Parallel Connector: For UPS communication in parallel.

3Utility Input Terminal Block: Use this terminal to connect your power module to utility power. Unscrew and remove the cover over the block for access.

4Equipment Output Terminal Block: Use this terminal to connect your power module to your equipment. Unscrew and remove the cover over the block for access.

5AC Input Breaker: One double-pole circuit breaker controls input power to the power module.

6Parallel Power Interconnect: Connects Primary and Secondary Parallel PDUs.

7Maintenance Breaker: Allows qualified service personnel to remove the detachable PDU from the power/battery module for routine maintenance without disrupting power to the connected loads.

8AC Output Breaker: One double-pole circuit breaker controls output power to the load.
