Computer Boots but Does Not Recognize the Tape Drive
If the computer has booted up and operated properly prior to adding a SCSI HBA and tape drive, but does not boot now:
1Remove the SCSI HBA controller if it is installed.
2Reboot the system.
•If the system boots normally, the problem is resolved.
•Otherwise, ensure that SCSI HBA is compatible with system, does not have burnt components. Reseat the SCSI HBA in a different PCI slot and reboot the computer. If the system still does not boot, contact Customer Support.
If the computer boots but does not recognize the tape drive:

•If the SCSI Controller is not recognized during system boot, contact Customer Support.
