VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:

It is recommended that the OM-550 is operated with the batteries while this procedure is preformed to reducing noise in measured voltages.

1.Use a white (copper) voltage connector and copper wire for all voltage and thermocouple inputs during calibration.

2.Locate the access hole for the Volt Gain adjustment on the bottom of the OM- 550.

3.Apply a 2.00000 VDC standard voltage to channel #1.

4.Start logging and produce a printout, press RUN, YES on the keypad.

5.Adjust the Volt Gain pot for a CH #1 reading of 2.0000 V (±0.0001V).

6.Press the STOP key.

7.Proceed with the thermocouple adjustment.

THERMOCOUPLE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:

1.Apply a 49.996mV (type K @ 2250 °F) standard voltage to channel #2.

2.Locate the access hole for the Temp Gain adjustment in the back cover.

3.Start logging and produce a printout, press RUN, YES on the keypad.

4.Adjust the Temp Gain pot for a channel #2 reading of +2250.0°F(±1°F).

5.Press the STOP key.
