5.2 WORKGROUP CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES

Figure 5-1 shows an example of a typical Workgroup configuration. In this example, two Workgroups are used: Workgroup Alpha and the Default Workgroup. Workgroup Alpha contains ports 3,5,7 and 9, and the Default Workgroup contains all ports not contained in Workgroup Alpha.

NOTES

1. The system creates the Default Workgroup.

2.If Workgroups were not defined, all ports are members of the Default Workgroup.

In this example, all broadcast, multicast, and unicast packets will be restricted to the Workgroups.
