Chapter 1 Hardware Preparation and Installation

To remove the board from the chassis, press the red locking tabs (IEEE handles only) and reverse the procedure.

Connection to Peripherals

When the MVME3100 is installed in a chassis, you are ready to connect peripherals and apply power to the board.

Figure 1-1 on page 4 shows the locations of the various connectors while Table 1-7and Table 1-8list them for you. Refer to Chapter 5, Pin Assignments for the pin assignments of the connectors listed below.
