Press the MUTE button to turn off the sound. The TV’s sound will be silenced and the Mute indicator will appear at the bottom left of the screen. The sound can be turned back on by pressing this button again; the Mute indicator will disappear from the screen.
DISPLAY
Press the DISPLAY button once to show the mode (channel number if in TV (NTSC) or ATSC mode). Press a second time to clear the screen or wait three seconds and the screen will clear automatically.
Repeatedly press this button to cycle through the device(s) connected to the INPUT jacks: ATSC, TV (CATV), AV, S- VIDEO, YUV and PC).
MTS–NTSC ONLY
Press to select one of the following sound modes: STEREO: Select for channels that are broadcasting in stereo.
MONO: Select for channels broadcasting in mono or if you are having difficulty receiving a stereo signal.
SAP (Second Audio Program, if available): Select to listen to a Separate Audio Program which is usually a foreign language translation.
NOTES:
• MTS is for TV mode only; you can only set the MTS option while in the TV mode.
• MTS can support STEREO (First Audio Program) and SAP (Second Audio Program).
• If the TV channel is broadcasting in stereo and the reception is strong enough, “MONO” will change to “STEREO” automatically. You cannot select between “MONO” and “STEREO” in MTS setting.
