Procedure

Step 1 Make sure that the two levers at the front of the FEX are pulled open.

Step 2 Slide the FEX into the chassis slot, ensuring that the FEX is fully seated.

Step 3 Close the levers and tighten the captive screw on each lever.

Step 4 Connect the networking cables (see SFP+ Transceivers, on page 51 and Proper FEX and Fabric Interconnect Port Connectivity, on page 48 ).

Step 5 Verify that the I/O Module is functioning correctly. See LED Locations, on page 24 and Interpreting LEDs, on page 25.
