Manual Conventions

In this manual, display messages and connectors are shown using the exact name shown on the 9084 itself. Examples are provided below.

Card-edge display messages are shown like this:

E201

Connector names are shown like this: SDI IN

In this manual, the terms below are applicable as follows:

9084 refers to the 9084 HD/SD-SDI RGB Color Corrector with YCbCr Video Proc and Frame Sync card.

Frame refers to the 8310 (or similar) frame that houses the Cobalt® COMPASS™ cards.

Device and/or Card refers to a COMPASS™ card.

System and/or Video System refers to the mix of interconnected production and terminal equipment in which the 9084 and COMPASS™ cards operate.
