NEXT Sweep

To display this screen, press the Measure Cable Performance key, then select NEXT, then press Sweep (F2). This screen allows you to select the sweep range and step method for NEXT tests.

If your Scanner has an alphanumeric overlay on the keypad, use the keypad to enter the new sweep limits. If your Scanner does not have an alphanumeric overlay, press Edit (F2) to display the edit screen.

Press the ESCAPE key to return to the NEXT results screen.

Attenuation

To display the ATTENUATION screen, press the Measure Cable Performance key, then select

Attenuation.

Press Graph (F1) to enter graphing mode.

Press Sweep (F2) to display the Attenuation results at different frequencies.

Press Pair (F3) to toggle through the available pair combinations.

Press the ESCAPE key to return to the MEASURE CABLE PERFORMANCE screen.

Attenuation Graph

To display this screen, press the Measure Cable Performance key, then select Attenuation, then press Graph (F1). This screen displays the Attenuation graph for the indicated pair combination.

Press Zoom (F1) to magnify the area of the graph around the cursor. The Zoom key can display 1x, 2x, 5x or 10x magnification.

Press Print (F2) to print the Attenuation graph.

Press Test (F3) to rerun the Attenuation test and display new data.

Press the ESCAPE key to return to the Attenuation screen.

Attenuation Limits

To display this screen, press the Measure Cable Performance key, then select Attenuation, then press Sweep (F2).

This screen allows you to change the Attenuation Sweep range and step criteria.

Press the or key to highlight the field to change. Use the Scanner keypad to enter the range values, or press Change (F2) to toggle through the Criteria values.

When entering range values, press Del (F2) to delete the number at the cursor. On the PentaScanner+, there is also a numeric mode, indicated by NUM (F3).
