Finding and Progressing an Opportunity

Finding and Progressing an Opportunity

There are a number of ways to find an opportunity, as follows:

„From the Company Summary page, select the Opportunity link to view a list of Opportunities associated with that company.

„From the Person summary page, select the Opportunity link to view a list of Opportunities associated with that person.

„From the Main Menu, select Opportunity, choose the search criteria you wish to apply, and select the Search link. A list of Opportunities that match the search criteria you specify is displayed.

Example: Closing a Sale

To search for an opportunity by finding the company to which it is linked:

1.Select Company from the Main Menu.

2.Type the company name in the edit box and select Search.

3.Select the company from the list of companies matching your search criteria.

4.Scroll to the end of the Company Summary page and select Opportunities. A list of opportunities linked to the selected company is displayed.

5.Select the sales opportunity you have been working on. The Opportunity Summary page is displayed.

6.Scroll down the Opportunity Summary page and select the Progress link.

7.When the Oppo Progress screen displays, select Progress from the list of available actions.

From here you can you can change the values of the following: Stage, Status, Forecast, Certainty%, Assigned To, Channel, Priority, Close By, Sales Analysis. You can also add a tracking note if you wish.
