Configuring Fibre Channel on your PDR Series

To configure your Profile system for use in a Fibre Channel environment, follow the instructions in the Profile User Manual. In addition to these instructions, you must also set Fibre Channel Switch Mode ON. You can do this in one of two ways:

Type the following command from the Command Prompt: fcconfig -s on.

OR

In Configuration Manager, select Switch Compatibility Mode in the Fibre Channel Configuration dialog box.

NOTE: You do not need to set the Fibre Channel hardware address of Profile systems connected to the Fibre Channel switch. These addresses are assigned dynamically in a fabric environment.
