Configuration

This function sets the basic parameters such as the operating mode as well as the wire- less parameters.

Access Point

Selects the desired access point.

2.

Configuration Tab

Configuration menus are organized into each tab.

 

 

“SNMP” and “Spanning Tree” tabs are not used.

[Password]

Changes the password for the selected device.

 

 

Up to 6 alphanumerics can be entered and is case-sen-

• To change the password, enter the current password

 

 

 

and new one.

 

 

 

 

 

To make the new password effective, the reboot opera-

 

 

 

tion is required.

[Read]

Reads the configuration for the selected device.

[Write]

Writes the currently displayed configuration to the selected

 

 

device.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To make the configuration effective, the reboot operation

 

 

 

is required.

 

 

 

 

 

6.

[Default]

Restores the factory default setting.

 

 

To apply the setting, write the configuration to the device

 

 

 

and reboot it.

 

 

 

7.

[Reboot]

Reboots the selected device.

 

 

8.

[Exit]

Returns to the main menu.

 

 

Password enrty is required for [Password], [Read], [Write], [Reboot] commands. The factory default setting has no password. In this case, you need not enter any- thing.

Executing the command “[File] - [Save]” can save the currently displayed configura- tion on the hard disk and “[File] - [Open]” can load a previously saved file.
