The selected Work Type and a maximum of 10 Option Items registered for that Work Type will be recorded in the New File header information. When [Set in the recorder] has been set for the Option Item ID within the selected Work Type, it will take you to the file information input screen (P.48). For more details, refer to the online help for DSS Player (P.59).
Editing the Work Type
1 Select the file you want to edit its Work Type information (P.41).
2 Select [Work Type] from the [File Menu] screen and press OK/MENU or the 9 button.
The Work Type setting screen will appear.

Up to 10 Work Types can be registered in the DSS Player software and uploaded to the recorder. Each Work Type can have up to 10 Option Items fields* associated with it. The Work Types and Option Items can be used on the recorder to populate the recording file header information.Refer to the online help for DSS Player (P.59) regarding registration/ set up details and Option Item through DSS Player.

*Each Option Items field has a maximum of 20 characters limit for each of the field name and the field value. Preset default values can also be set for the option items to simplify data entry process.

1 Press the NEW button while in STOP mode. When [The Worktype List is displayed when a new file is created] has been set through DSS Player (P.55), the Work Types uploaded to the recorder will appear in a list.

4 Press the + or to select [Edit Work Type] or [Select From Work Type List] and then press the OK/MENU button.

Edit Work Type...This will take you to the file information input screen and allow you to modify the Work Type information that has been set for the file.

3 Press the OK/MENU button to select the Work Type.

All recordings made with the new Work Type ID will have the new Work Type as part of the header information.

Select from Work Type List...select a different Work Type from the Work Type list.
