Erasing One File at a Time

A selected file can be erased from a folder.

		Press the FOLDER/MENU button to
		choose a folder.
		1The folder name is displayed for	F O L D E R	A
		approximately 2 seconds.	T O T A L	1 3 4
		Press the FF/+ or REW/– button to
		2choose the file you want to erase.
3,4	2	Press the ERASE button.	a
		“FILE ERASE?” flashes on the display for
		3approximately 8 seconds.	F I L E
	1	a File to be erased	E R A S E ?
		Press the ERASE button once more
		when “FILE ERASE?” is flashing.
		4The display changes to “FILE ERASE!” and	F I L E
		erasing will start.	E R A S E !
			{
		“ERASE DONE” is displayed when the file is
		erased. File numbers will be reassigned

automatically.

Notes

•If the ERASE button is not pressed within the 8 seconds after “FILE ERASE?” starts flashing, the recorder will revert to stop status.

•An erased file cannot be restored.

•Locked files cannot be erased (☞ P.27).
