Cleaning Components

When the copied documents are hard to read, clean the machine’s scanning glass and white roller. If they are dirty, the quality of the transmission image and copy becomes degraded.

1. Lift the control panel using hand.

2.Disassemble the white roller. Both ends of the roller are terminated with bushings which are snapped shut with small tabs. Push the tabs slightly inwards in the direction of ‘A’, then rotate in the direction of ‘8’ until it reaches the slot as shown in the figure below. Then pull the roller upwards in the direction ‘C’.

Sate : Be careful not to lose the bushing on one md of the roller when disassembling.

3.Wipe the roller clean with a soft cloth dampend with alcohol. Then dry throughly.

Note : Do not use the document having contents written by pencil on the back side. It causes the white roller to be stain. When the roller becomes dirty, the copied document will not reproduce clear.

4.Clean the scanning glass with alcohol as shown below.
