Software Introduction

USB Storage Driver

USB Storage Driver is only compatible with Windows. There is no USB Storage Driver for MAC. MAC OS 9.X. comes with a USB storage driver USB Storage Driver makes digital camera as a CF CARD If the driver is installed, the images in camera can be copied or viewed directly.

Adobe PhotoDeluxe home edition.

This is the program that you can use to edit and save the still images you download from the camera. This software is only compatible with Windows.

About USB

It is designed to meet external peripherals Plug and Play (PnP) specifications such as digital cameras, USB PC cameras, keyboards, scanners and printers.

The Windows 95 OSR2 had a set of basic USB drivers and the Pentium II motherboard supported the USB specification. USB gained a tremendous popularity as Windows 98 was released and recently i Mac has included a set of basic USB drivers

USB and Serial ports have the same theory, but USB is faster than the Serial port and USB are simpler to connect to peripherals.

The host allows USB device to communicate and transfer data at 12Mbps; in low speed mode, the host allows USB device to operate at 1.5Mbps. Furthermore, it allows 127 devices to run at the same time on the bus. The PC will recognise peripherals when it is turned on.

Most computers have two USB ports. If you need to plug in more than two USB devices you do so by using a hub. A hub plugs into your USB port and provides more than one additional plug.
