6-6 Recording with an external activation signal

Recording can be started and stopped externally when an activation signal is input to the rear panel [EXT REC IN] terminal.

Select the automatic recording operation.

Operation

2.Turn the power ON.

Check the connections and set the [POWER] switch on the rear panel to ON.

3.Set the menu switches.

Set the required menu switches. For details, refer to “Setting” on page 18.

[DVR MODE]

[REC QUALITY] : Set the recording picture quality.

[REC SPEED] : Set the recording speed.

[AUDIO REC] : Sets whether or not audio signals are recorded when menu switch <REC SPEED> is set to a position other than 1/5 or 1/10.

[EXT MODE]

[REC MODE] : Set the recording mode to use when an activation signal is input.

When “TRIG” is selected, recording starts when a signal is input.

To stop recording, press the [STOP] button.

When “MANUAL” is selected, recording is per-

formed as long as a signal is input. Reference: “5-3 Menu switch details” on page 19.

4.Engage the Stop mode.

When an activation signal is input to the [EXT REC IN] terminal, recording starts automatically.

Memo:

This function is disabled in the Timer Recording Standby mode.

6-7 Automatic restart of recording after power failure

If a power failure occurs, recording re-starts automatically as soon as the power supply is restored.

To activate this function, set menu switch <POWER ON REC> to “ON”. When power is restored after a power outage, recording starts again in the same mode in use when power was lost.
