AV programme position

AV devices have one or more sockets, depending on the model. These sockets are labelled on the device, for example with AV1.

These sockets can be selected on the AV device and the selected socket is shown on the display of the AV device, for example A1 for socket AV1.

Bandwidth (optional)

The bandwidth needs to be set for sound sub-car- riers. For ASTRA stations, the bandwidth should normally be set to 130 kHz.

Stereo wide

When receiving programmes with stereo sound, the physical distance between the loudspeakers can be increased artificially to improve the stereo effect.

Code

The settings for the childlock are protected by a 4- digit numerical code which you can set a desired. Write down or remember the code you define. If you forget the code, ask your local dealer for assi- stance

CTI

The CTI (Colour Transient Improvement) circuit is an electronic circuit which ensures precise transi- tions between differently coloured parts of the pic- ture, preventing the colour smearing which could otherwise occur. The CTI function is active for pro- grammes received via the antenna input and for picture signals from AV devices.

De-emphasis (optional)

This is a method for reducing noise on the sound channel of stations received via satellite. The appropriate settings can be found in specialist magazines.

For ASTRA stations, always select „Panda“.
