Searching Techniques
The various search functions help you find pictures you wish to view.
Counter memory stop
This function is used when reviewing a tape, to identify the starting point (00000 Mark) of reference. When reviewing a tape, press the Counter Reset button to identify the beginning point of the scene to review. When you stop the play function and activate the Counter Memory Search function, the tape will stop at the point of reference specified. To review press the Play button.

2.Turn SHUTTLE to the right.
• The VCR starts rewinding the tape.

•The index signal may be difficult to locate in some recording conditions.
•Audio output is muted during the skip search.

Index search
During fast forwarding or rewinding, the VCR will search for an index signal you have selected. When the index signal is found, the VCR will play back in still picture.
To quit while rewinding, press STOP button.
To exit the <SEARCH FUNCTION> menu without rewinding, press STOP button.
Note
•When the counter on the fluorescent display indicates “00000”, COUNTER MEMORY STOP of the SEARCH FUNCTION menu cannot be selected.
Skip search
During fast forwarding or rewinding, the VCR plays back a tape (at 2H, 6H or 8H mode) for about 4 seconds where an index
1.Press SEARCH button until INDEX SEARCH is highlighted.

2.Turn JOG to select an index number (between 1 and 255) you wish to find. To exit the <SEARCH
FUNCTION> menu without searching, press STOP button.

•Turning to the left proceeds the search in the reverse direction.
To quit while searching, press STOP button.
To exit the <SEARCH FUNCTION> menu without searching, press STOP button.
3.When you find a picture you wish to view, press PLAY button.
3.Turn SHUTTLE to the right or left to start searching.
•Turning SHUTTLE to the right proceeds the search in the forward direction.
•Turning SHUTTLE to the left proceeds the search in the reverse direction.
•The index number shown on the fluorescent display will decrease one by one as each index signal goes by.
To quit while searching, press STOP button.

•The index signal may be difficult to locate in some recording conditions.

•Index number is the count from the present position. The index number of one alarm recording before the present position is
•Maximum count is ±255 alarm recordings.
