Positioning of shoulder harness and infant insert to fit infant’s size:
Check positioning of shoulder harness through seat back when first using the car seat and periodically after that to verify correct fit and positioning of the harness for infant’s size.
NOTE: Infant insert MUST always be used with small infants.
Shoulder harness straps MUST be through:
-Shoulder harness slots at or just below infant’s shoulders.
-Shoulder harness slots in infant insert.
See “Operation and Adjustment” section to change position of harness.
Securing infant in car seat:
1Unsnap harness adjuster strap from front of car seat pad (fig. a).
2Loosen harness - Insert finger under adjuster cover, press on harness adjustment lever, and pull harness straps out (fig. b).
3Unbuckle harness - Press red release button on buckle and pull tongues out of buckle.
4Place infant in car seat with back and rump contacting seating surfaces.
5Place harness straps over child’s shoulders and thighs.
6 Insert buckle tongues into buckle (fig. c). You should hear a click.
7 Pull up on tongues to be sure they are locked.
