Long, continuous shots of scenery tend to be dull, and have to be edited to make an interesting video. With 5SEC. REC (5-second recording) mode, the camcorder records for only 5 seconds and then switches to Standby mode, so that you will automatically take a series of quick shots resulting in a lively video.

(1)Set START/STOP MODE to 5SEC. Five dots appear on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder.

(2)Press START/STOP. Recording starts. The dots disappear at a rate of one per second. When 5 seconds elapse and all the dots disappear, the camcorder switches to Standby mode automatically.
