Save telephone numbers and names
The display will indicate the network and the network operator if a network signal is re- ceived. The antenna symbol will not flash.
• Press / to choose the entry posi- tion, for example:
“SIM card” or “Phone” and pressOK.
• Enter the new telephone number and press OK.
• Use the selection buttons to enter the name. If necessary, refer to the section on “How to enter a name/text”. Press OK to confirm your entry.

Using the telephone

All of the telephone functions can be oper- ated using a trained SIM card.

With the card tongue protruding, insert the trained SIM card into the slot with the contact surface facing up.

Switch the unit on.

If you have not yet trained a SIM card, refer to “Train or delete KeyCards/SIM cards”.

GSM network service area

To be able to use the telephone, you must be located in an area served by the GSM network. As soon as a network signal is re- ceived, the symbol indicating the signal

strength and an antenna symbol will ap- pear in the display. If the signal is not strong enough your call may be disconnected. If the antenna symbol is flashing, it is possi- ble to make emergency calls only. If the antenna is displayed on a dark background, you are located in an area serviced by a roaming network (may be subject to addi- tional charges).
