Watch your progress with the LED matrix, the

main display, and the BIOLOGIX display.

The LED matrix

When the QUICK

START mode is

selected, the LED

track will light.

The track repre-

sents a distance

of 1/4 mile. As

you exercise, the

indicators around the track will light one at a time

until the entire track is lit. The track will then disap-

pear in a counterclockwise direction and a new lap

will begin.

The Main Display

As you exercise, the main display will provide the following exercise feedback:

PulseÑFor the main display to show your

heart rate, the hand pulse sensor or the chest pulse sensor must be used (see

pages 7 and 8). When your pulse is detected, the PULSE indicator will flash each time your heart beats. Three dashes will then appear in the main display and your heart rate will be shown. Note: It may take up to ten seconds for an accurate heart rate to be shown. If your heart rate is not shown, see Hand Pulse Sensor Trouble-shootingon page X or Chest Pulse Sensor Trouble-shootingon page 8. Do not use the hand pulse sensor and the chest pulse sensor at the same time.

InclineÑWhen the INCLINE indicator is lit, the main display will show the incline level of the treadmill.

TimeÑWhen the TIME indicator is lit, the main

display will show the total time that you have been walking or run- ning. Note: When a

HEART RATE program, an INCLINE program (except the ADVENTURE TRAIL program), or a CUSTOM program is selected, the display will show the time remaining in the program rather than the elapsed time.

PaceÑWhen the PACE

indicator is lit, the main display will show your current pace in minutes

per mile. For example, if you are running at 6.0

mph, your pace will be 10:00 (ten minutes per mile) because you will run one mile in ten minutes.

DistanceÑWhen the DISTANCE indicator is lit, the main display will show the distance that you have walked or run.

LapsÑWhen the LAPS indicator is lit, the main display will show the number of 1/4-mile laps you have completed.

SpeedÑWhen the SPEED indicator is lit,

the main display will show the current speed of the walking belt. Note:

When the SPEED but-

tons are pressed, the display will show the selected speed setting for six seconds. The display will then show the actual speed of the walking belt.

Note: The console can display speed and distance in either miles or kilometers. To see which unit of measurement is

selected, hold down the STOP button while inserting the key into the console. An ÒEÓ for

English miles or an ÒMÓ for metric kilometers will

appear at the right end of the main display. To change the unit of measurement, press the SPEED + button. When you are finished, remove and then reinsert the key.

The BIOLOGIX display

As you exercise, the BIOLOGIX display will show the approximate number of calories you have burned.
