3. SYMPTOM: THE WALKING BELT SLOWS WHEN WALKED ON

a..If the walking belt is overtightened, performance may de- crease and the walking belt may be damaged. If the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 1 to 2 inches off the walking plat- form. If adjustments need to be made, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the included allen wrench, turn both roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and use the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tight- ened.
